Meet Our Staff
John Mason
Owner/Certified Master Technician / Mechanic
John Mason grew up in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, and has been around the automotive industry almost all of his life. In high school, he worked at the local gas station, gaining knowledge and hands on training at an early age. John then attended UTI in Chicago after high school, studying all areas of automotive.
Before opening his own business, John worked for a number of auto shops throughout the Watertown area including a Chevy dealership as an auto technician. After a few years, John felt he could take everything he had learned both in shop and in school and open up an auto shop of his own.
In 2000, John officially opened the doors to Northside Auto & Truck Service in Watertown, WI, working by himself at first and hiring employees along the way. Along the years, Northside Auto & Truck Service expanded to a full auto repair facility and has recently doubled in size.
Andrew Uchytil
Technician/Mechanic - Specialized is all Domestic makes/models
Andrew Uchytil was born & raised in Nebraska. He recently moved to the area and brought many years of automotive knowledge with him. Andy started working on vehicles at a very young age, learning alongside his grandpa at his diesel repair shop. He later added valuable welding experience to his knowledge base. Andy has worked at Rydell Chevrolet for over 5 years and Everlast car & truck for over 8 years. Andy has also spent some time learning vehicle customization. Overall Andy brings over 13 years of experience to Northside Auto.
Eric Zastrow
Technician / Mechanic
Trained in GM Duramax
Eric grew up in the Watertown area. He started showing interest in fixing cars from about the age of 13. He went to University of Northwestern Ohio College of Technologies and studied Auto tech, Diesel engine tech and Medium/ Heavy Duty Truck tech. He has been in the automotive industry for about 6 years. Eric worked at a GM dealer prior to coming to Northside Auto. His technical skills include engine repair, diesel engine diagnostics and repair, suspension and steering and brake repair. He is a trained GM Duramax diesel engine technician.
Tyler Eichstaedt
Technician / Mechanic
Trained in vehicle alignment, brakes, and suspension
He was born and raised in Watertown, WI. He graduated from Watertown High School in 2009. Graduated from Waukesha County Technical College in 2011 with his technical degree in autobody repair. Tyler is certified to work on vehicle air-conditioning. He started his apprenticeship at Northside Auto in March of 2011.
Jolene Mason
Service Advisor
Jolene was born and raised in Hurley, WI. Attended school at the Hurley k-12 School. She has been working in the customer service industry since the age of 16. With over 10 years of experience in customer service she is now here to serve you, our customer, and make sure your experience at Northside Auto & Truck Service is of the highest quality.
